The IT sector of Tajikistan, represented by Fifty Five Group, took part in the leading technology exhibition in the capital of Oman – Muscat at Comex 2024, the Fifty Five Group reported.

According to the source, from May 27 to May 30, Comex 2024 was visited by more than 70,000 people. The main focus of the tech show was on cutting-edge technologies, interaction with IT leaders and exploration of future technologies in different sectors.

The presentation of the IT industry of the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus at Comex 2024 was organized by the independent organization Strategeast as part of the Future Growth Initiative from USAID.

According to the participants, Oman is interested in receiving high-quality digital services and is considering the possibility of participation of Central Asian countries, in particular Tajikistan, in the development of the country’s product and service ecosystem.

It was noted that Oman understands and highly values ​​the contribution that Central Asian countries can make to the level of increasing expertise in the IT field. This is the beginning of a long and productive cooperation in the IT field between the Gulf and Central Asia regions.

This year, Comex 2024 featured more than 80 speakers. As part of the panel discussion “Eurasia and Oman: digital cooperation,” representatives of several countries in Central Asia and the Caucasus shared their experiences and prospects for the development of the IT sector in the region, as well as the advantages of cooperation between the Gulf countries and this market.
