The creation of the IT park has become an important measure aimed at creating a favorable ecosystem for the development of innovation, the authorities note
There are already 19 residents registered in the IT Park of Tajikistan.This was reported by the director of the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies of the Republic, Khurshed Faizullozoda, in an interview with the Jumhuriyat publication.He added that residents will gain access to international platforms through which they will be able to exchange experiences and present their startups to development partners, large IT companies and investors.
Faizullozoda also reported that this park has been granted state benefits – exemption from customs and tax payments.The newly created IT park has started operations in the field of cryptocurrencies and stock exchange, the Tajik official noted.
“Its work within our authority is regulated by a “regulatory sandbox”. The cryptocurrency exchange is connected to the global crypto asset exchange. Through it, our banks that are interested in this area have the opportunity to participate in the exchange of crypto assets,” said the director of the Innovation Agency.
He added that blockchain technologies could significantly change the areas of finance and public administration.This method ensures transparency, security and speed of transactions, Faizullozoda emphasized.”In Tajikistan, we are looking at using blockchain for areas such as e-government services, land management and supply chain tracking in agriculture,” the official said.Blockchain could also be useful for digital identification of citizens and data protection, he concluded.
Earlier, Tajikistan and Iran discussed cooperation in the field of digital development.The parties also considered the issue of attracting Iranian companies to work in the IT park.
